Special Events on the Isles of Scilly

Every week of the main season (19th March to 25th October) we have regular events at Tregarthen’s.

Monday – Beer and Balti

Enjoy the Curry of the Day, with Poppadum, Mango Chutney and a bottle or a pint of beer, for £14.95.  Served from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.

Tuesday – Steak and Wine

Enjoy a steak with all the trimmings, plus a bottle of house wine, for £49.95 for 2 people.  Served from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.

Friday – Fish Fryday

Enjoy a traditional Fish and Chip supper, for 2 people, for £19.95.  Served from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.

Sunday – Traditional Sunday Roast

Every Sunday choose from one of 4 traditional roasts, with the traditional accompaniments, for £14.95 per person, served from from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.

Low Tide Experience

The 2nd Low Tide Event of  the year is on Friday 8th May.  Witness Scilly's dramatic spring tides at this very special mini pop-up festival on a long, skinny sandbar between Tresco and Bryher that's usually under five metres of water. Roll up your trouser legs and enjoy this totally unique Scillonian  experience before the flood tide steals it away. There are gin and Prosecco bars, Island Fish and Tresco beef feast, live music and entertainment. From 11.30am.

Folk Festival Isles of Scilly

The ever-popular annual Scilly Folk Festival. A long weekend of music, song and dance is in store, featuring some of the best folk music from Scilly and the South West. The Festival will take place from Thursday 21st May to Tuesday 26th May 2020.

ÖTILLÖ Swim Run World Qualifier

June 13 - June 14

ÖTILLÖ comes back again to Scilly in 2020 for their 4th event of the year.  The race starts and finishes in Hugh Town on St. Mary's, with a race of about 40km swimming across to and running around St. Martin’s, Tresco and Bryher.  One of the toughest endurance races in the world, it makes quite a spectacle seeing over 100 teams from around the world taking part.

Fireworks for Scilly

June 19

To celebrate its 100th anniversary, the Isles of Scilly Steamship Group is holding a colourful firework display at 10.45pm, with fireworks to be launched from the end of St Mary’s Quay.  They should be visible from all five inhabited islands, with the lounge and terrace at Tregarthen's being a great vantage point !

Swim Scilly Challenge

September 12

The Swim Scilly Challenge involves a complete circumnavigation of St. Mary’s (about 15km), the largest island on the Isles of Scilly.   The race can be entered as a solo or in a relay team of 2, 3 or 4 competitors, and supporters can walk along and be part of the event, plus of course join in the great after party !
