A handy stop-off point for migrating birds, the Isles of Scilly have been internationally famous amongst birdwatchers for many years. Puffins, Storm Petrels and Peregrine Falcons breed here, and the list of visiting migrants includes (among many others) kittiwakes, fulmars, gannets, waders, warblers, pipits and wagtails. Of course, it’s worth remembering that at Tregarthen’s Hotel you might well be lucky enough to spot some of them from a hotel window.
